Why is the Dead Sea so salty?  If you take a look at one of the maps we have, youll notice that the Dead Sea is fed by several freshwater streams.  You may also notice that there are no streams that lead away from the Sea.  What happens is that the streams that flow into the sea contain minerals, of course, but the only way they can exit the Sea is through evaporation.  Because of the Dead Seas location, the climate can be extremely hot and dry, causing much evaporation.  But when the streams evaporate, its only the fresh water that leaves, not any of the minerals.  If you still cant figure out why the Sea contains so many salts and minerals, theres something wrong with you...
